Public Enemy #1 was what Sanemi became. In the eyes of the Hashira - even Obanai who attempted to be neutral even gave him a look of disdain. Uzui often berated him, stating that he didn’t deserve a woman like you - and Sanemi knew as such. Shinobu made it her mission while treating him to make it as painful as possible - seeing as she could be gentle when she desired.
Hell, even Tomioka gave him deeper frowns than normal and that was saying a lot. You set your mark upon the Corps and now that you were going to be leaving soon, everyone despised him for it.
My heart aches omg so in the movie this break up scene was shown from Gojo’s point of view which is why the overall atmosphere was very dark there. In today’s episode this scene was shown how it actually took place; it was a sunny and bright day. But Gojo remembers it very gloomily. Also, in the episode we can the faces of the bystanders but in the movie we couldn’t. This shows how for Gojo absolutely nothing mattered except Geto. He couldn’t even comprehend anything else in that moment besides him.
Mappa did an incredible job showing this scene in two ways. It adds so much more depth to the characters and makes it even more sad.
summary: fed up with your stagnant marriage, you serve your husband divorce papers as a final cry to show you’re tired of his behaviour. but you forget that, although he doesn’t always show it, your husband never goes down without a fight.

nanami’s footsteps echo through the dimly lit hallway as he approaches your apartment. his heart pounds against his ribs, a mixture of irritation, confusion, and hurt swirling within him. he had seen the divorce papers, his name scrawled across the top in bold letters, and the shock has left him simmering with resentment.
with a determined exhale, he raises his hand and knocks on your door. the door swings open, revealing his surprised expression. his eyes widen as he takes in your clenched jaw and the tension etched into your features.
“kento,” your voice wavers, a mix of surprise and something he can’t quite place.
“i didn’t expect to find divorce papers on my desk at work,” he bites out, his tone sharp and impatient.
your cheeks flush slightly, your gaze flickering away for a moment before returning to meet his stare. “it got your attention, didn’t it?” you retort, your voice tinged with exasperation.
